Openplant Connect File Based Syncing With PlantSight

Is there a way to sync OpenPlant piping with PlantSight without checking in all the component in plant sight?? Like what OpenPlant P&ID does, it doesn't required to check all lines symbols, but just tags information without actually losing the file.

We used OPM Model server a lot and my experience was vey bad , I would trust a file based system over non-file based system.
