When using OpenRoads or OpenRail Designer files the 3D model is not processed when you have turned off the 3D model within the Default view.
For us it doesn't work to turn on the 3D reference before you process the model to an iTwin especially when it you connect the DGN files from the ProjectWise data source.
For example one of our projects have more then 50 OpenRoads models so it's impossible to first turn on the reference file "Default-3D"
And our designers are working almost whiteout having the "Default-3D" visible when designing the alignment for example.
So I think it's a must have when you process a file with the "Bentley Civil" Hub the "Default" model and the "Default-3D " are processed automatically even if the 3D model is turned off.
Yes I did, but when working with a lot of files it's impossible to go thru it and open the files manually to make sure the 3D model is visible.
Have you followed the best Practices guide by the Civil group to create a ORD file for Itwins see link https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/50786/best-practices-for-creating-a-civil-imodel
