Our current setup for generating iModels on a project, is creating an assembly model for all necessary connectors, e.g. MicroStation, Civil, IFC etc. this means a lot of file and reference management. Additionally, we are using “states” for our model files, e.g. “Work in progress” or “published” and for some stages in a project we would like to only synchronize models that are on a specific state (published). This is a very labor intensive, a not bullet-proof process with the current functions available.
If it was possible to make an iModel connection to a ProjectWise Saved Search, it would be a lot easier to create and maintain the iModels. In the searches we could include filters, to only get models on a specific state and other requirements, e.g. application, file name pattern.
